A place where creativity thrives, new perspectives are invited, and ideas matter. A team where everyone makes play happen.

Frostbite is EA's proprietary game engine that comes equipped with tons of tools and technologies designed to build incredible games. Our in-house engine offers the unique ability to adapt to each game while working hand-in-hand to prioritize what to build. Our goal is to empower creators all over the world to bring their best ideas to life by creating an engine that amplifies innovation across every discipline.

Reporting to the Manager of Experience Design, we are in search of a Product Designer located in Vancouver or Toronto, Canada to support the Frostbite Audio team in North America. You will join the Frostbite UX team where we embrace the end-to-end nature of UX design to help create better experiences for game developers at EA.

This role is open to onsite and hybrid work model types in Vancouver and Toronto.

You will:

  • Collaborate with product managers to clarify and refine requirements and ensure they are aligned with the product vision and goals.

  • Collaborate with researchers using both generative methods, such as interviews and surveys, and evaluative methods like usability studies.

  • Convert research into workflows and designs using UX tools like Figma.

  • Test and refine designs for efficient, accessible game-creation experiences for content creators on game teams.

  • Collaborate with global teams, including UX members and engineers.

You bring:

  • A portfolio that contains case studies highlighting your design skills, technical expertise, and the ability to think holistically through systems and experiences.

  • 3+ years of experience designing for complex applications such as creative tools, game engines or productivity software.

  • Experience tailoring and presenting complex concepts to different audiences.

  • Experience working in complex organisations and a history of collaboratively promoting UX principles and best practices with partners and colleagues.

Bonus:

  • Experience working on or with audio tools.

  • Comfortable engaging and building relationships with multiple teams and individuals globally.
