Summary
The Director of Operations will help shape and implement the operational strategy to lead organizational effectiveness and growth within the Fan Growth team. You'll report directly to the Senior Director of Fan Membership, managing complex partnerships, oversee operational and production teams, and advocate for strategic programs that enhance efficiency, collaboration, and performance.
You will have experience in operational leadership, a background in creative technology and gaming from concept to live service, and experience with team mentorship and process optimization.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
Establish and evaluate operational plans to ensure agreement on overarching priorities.
Define the Loyalty Membership Framework and oversee its governance, ensuring implementation and sustainability.
Operational Excellence
Analyze financial statements to understand and improve the impact of projects, ensuring prioritization of areas.
Implement cost-saving opportunities, including optimizations in workforce location and partner expansion.
Evaluate organizational effectiveness and recommend process improvements.
Financial and Risk Oversight
Review and assess operational budgets and plans, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
Oversee the financial health of operational programs, partnering with finance teams to maintain profitability and agreement on growth targets.
Project and Resource Management
Oversee multiple internal and external teams, ensuring projects are on track and resources are allocated.
Promote collaboration to address dependencies and align with project and organizational goals.
Qualifications:
10+ years of operational leadership, managing large teams and budgets
8+ years of experience in creative tech/game development, from creation through live service.
Experience shaping and scaling organizational structures in large-scale enterprises.
Hands-on experience with live services, including marketing and operational dynamics.
5+ years of experience applying financial statements to evaluate performance, contracts, and agreements.
Skills and Attributes
You should have the ability to translate data into applicable strategies.
Expertise in managing teams and partnerships to achieve unified outcomes.
Experience with project management frameworks (Agile, Waterfall) and iterative creative processes.
Demonstrated effectiveness leading indirectly through influence
Ceci ne s’applique pas au Québec. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). BASE SALARY RANGES
- British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
- $151,800 - $208,900 CAD
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
