The EA SPORTS Marketing Creative team defines the creative ideas that underpin our campaigns and consumer-facing brand activations. Our passion for sport, play and culture come together to deliver award-winning campaigns that resonate with core gamers and sports fans alike. As part of our global group of creatives, brand marketers, strategists, technologists, channel experts and producers, we define the steel threads that guide campaigns and consumer-facing content across our franchises. This involves creative development from creation to execution, including franchise & brand foundations, campaign narratives, content planning, creative platforms and creative direction for assets and activations.

As an Associate Creative Director, you will partner with Franchise Marketing & Strategy, Communications, Development and other teams, to define the present and future of the NHL & UFC franchises. You will report into the Group Creative Director.

You will be based in Vancouver. Relocation available. You will be hybrid and, in the office, 3x a week.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with marketing and studio development teams to develop the creative platforms and implementation of global go-to-market campaigns

  • Work with the larger marketing team to implement creative ideas across communications, content, and channels

  • Work with franchise strategy and channel data teams to develop and refine ideas based on insights and strategies that inspire more engaging creative work

  • Advocate for the creative work of the team to internal stakeholders

  • Collaborate with our communications channel teams to develop and support creative and content platforms

  • Beyond overseeing creative, partner with the franchise marketing and other teams to ensure quality and integrated execution of the creative across channels

  • Be the Creative POC for external vendors and agencies

  • Stay up to date with latest trends and technologies in the gaming, marketing and entertainment/creative industries

  • Promote and embody EA SPORTS’ creative culture

  • Partner with production to ensure great ideas are made with the best possible partners, on time, on budget and at quality

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 6+ years in a creative agency, sports brand, gaming company or entertainment brand in a similar role

  • Experience building and guiding creative teams to success

  • Experience marketing global brands or partnerships

  • A leader: Inspiring and influential voice with experience selling in creative experiences to different audiences

  • A storyteller: an understanding of cohesive narrative across everything from a presentation to a memorable end-line to a piece of content

  • A creator: you guide creativity that inspires breakthrough activations and content across a variety of media

  • Insights: an ability to turn insights into breakthrough ideas


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). BASE SALARY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
    • $126,000 - $176,300 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
