Senior Director of Asia Insights & Markets Group

Role Overview

As the Senior Director of Asia Insights & Markets Group, you will serve as the "voice of the Asian player" within EA's Asia organization. You will lead a team responsible for market intelligence, player insights, and new market entry strategies across Asia's diverse gaming ecosystems. Your deep understanding of game analytics, regional player preferences, market dynamics, and cultural nuances will ensure EA's games and marketing are authentically tailored to Asian markets from the earliest stages of development.

Operating as a key pillar of EA's Asia growth strategy, as a key member of the Asia leadership team you will work together to help bridge the gap between regional insights and global product development and marketing teams, helping transform EA's market share into a position of strength across the world's largest gaming markets. Your team's work will directly contribute to EA's vision of reaching our ambitious revenue player connections targets.

Key Responsibilities

Market Intelligence & Player Insights

  • Build deep understanding of player behaviors, preferences, and trends across diverse Asian markets through comprehensive data analytics and market research
  • Develop actionable player personas and segmentation specific to each market to inform product development and marketing strategies
  • Leverage analytics strategy to set up the optimal structure and operating rhythm of the intelligence team
  • Develop and deploy a modern data platform using the latest tools and technologies that integrates with EA's broader technology strategy
  • Evolve data democratization and business intelligence capabilities to increase speed to insight and improve decision-making

Market Expansion Strategy

  • Lead the strategic assessment and execution of expansion into emerging markets like India, Middle East and Africa
  • Identify new revenue streams and business models tailored to regional preferences
  • Evaluate and recommend strategic partnerships to accelerate market penetration
  • Deliver the first suite of test and learn activities to validate growth hypotheses for the Asia Publishing organization

 

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Develop the relationships and networks required between Asia Intelligence team and Central Technology partners at EA
  • Provide cultural guidance to ensure authenticity in game experiences and marketing
  • Partner with, franchise teams, and marketing to integrate Asian player perspectives into product development and marketing strategies
  • Lead special projects supporting EA's Asia hyper-culturalization initiatives
  • Build and mentor a diverse team of market leads, analysts, and insights specialists

 

Requirements

Experience & Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in gaming, entertainment, or technology sectors with significant focus on Asian markets
  • Deep understanding of the Asia gaming landscape across China, Japan, Korea, SEA, and emerging markets
  • Proven track record in analytics strategy, commercial intelligence, or market research leadership
  • Experience building and leading cross-functional teams in complex, matrixed organizations
  • Strong background in one or more Asian gaming markets with cultural fluency
  • Experience developing data platforms and analytics capabilities that drive business decisions
  • Ability to influence product roadmaps through rigorous analysis and effective communication
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred

You will help transform EA's market share into a position of strength across the world's largest gaming markets, building the intelligence capabilities necessary to reach our revenue and player connection targets in Asia by FY30.
