This role requires you to work onsite from Bogotá, Colombia (Salitre area).


Quality Verification and Standards (QVS) Engineering at EA ensures game excellence through advanced software solutions. To increase innovation, QVS is building the Quality Technology Platform (QTP)—an internal developer platform that reduces duplication, improves developer experience, and enables reusable, secure solutions across studios.


The Infrastructure Solutions (QIS) Team develops Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) modules and application blueprints that power QTP.

As a Platform Engineer, you'll implement reusable infrastructure components that help game teams to deliver faster and at scale. Reporting to the QTP Sr. Delivery Manager You'll work with senior engineers and architects, gaining mentorship and hands-on experience with modern cloud-native practices.


This role is ideal for someone passionate about infrastructure automation, developer experience, and learning from experienced mentors in a collaborative environment.


Responsibilities

  • You will implement well-tested Infrastructure-as-Code modules (Terraform).

  • You will write clear, developer-facing documentation to ensure ease of adoption.

  • You will participate in code reviews, pair programming, and design discussions under guidance from senior engineers.

  • You will collaborate in incident investigations and postmortems for infrastructure-related issues.

  • You will align your contributions with the technical vision set by the QIS Lead Platform Engineer and Platform Architect.

Must-Have Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in software development or DevOps.

  • Exposure to Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.

  • Basic proficiency with a scripting language (e.g., Python).

  • Understanding of CI/CD concepts and deployment automation.

Growth Areas

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

  • Exposure to observability tools (logging, monitoring, tracing).

Interest in developer experience and reusable infrastructure design
