Rendering Software Engineer Intern


Contract: 12-month Internship

Responsibilities:

We’re looking for an Intern Software Engineer (Rendering) to join our Battlefield team. You’ll work alongside our experienced rendering engineers who build the technology that makes our games look incredible - from realistic lighting and visual effects to efficient rendering pipelines that support huge, immersive worlds.

  • Build, test, and integrate rendering features into the game’s codebase.

  • Work on optimizing graphics performance for both consoles and PC.

  • Participate in Agile development processes such as daily stand-ups and sprint planning.

  • Collaborate with QA and development teams to identify and resolve issues.

  • Learn and apply best practices in requirements gathering, design, implementation, and testing.

  • Gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge rendering systems used in AAA titles.

Eligibility:


  • You are currently studying in the penultimate year of undergraduate study with a planned placement year.

  • You are available to commence a full-time 12 month placement in July 2026.

  • You are eligible to work in the UK without additional visa or relocation support.


Skills:


  • Knowledge of C++.

  • Familiarity with debugging and profiling tools.

  • Experience with 3D maths and geometry.

  • Knowledge of graphics or rendering-related programming (such as shaders, GPU programming, real-time rendering, or graphics APIs like DirectX/Vulkan/OpenGL).

  • Excel in a collaborative, team-focused environment with both local and remote colleagues.
