Studio: Create APAC

EA Create APAC is a highly-engaged content creation team within EA Worldwide Studios.  We are creatively driven and focused on high end visual production across multiple genres and art styles. Working with our game team partners around the world, we share a unified passion for creating amazing experiences and industry leading visuals.  We seek pioneers who cut new paths and conquer challenges in our fast growing future


Roles and responsibilities:

You will own the level design and gameplay of the MP maps for an EA franchise.

Working with the team, you will brainstorm and pitch the direction, prove the concept and execute on the delivery.

You will communicate closely with project leadership and craft leadership, to make sure we are always aligned with game design of the overall product. 

You will report to Producer

  • Blockout playable spaces and multiplayer gameplay content using our internal level editor and visual scripting language.
  • Manage layout, flow, pacing and overall player experience of your level from concept to final.
  • Proactively communicate with all stakeholders to ensure a high quality of work
  • Document level design intentions to provide a clear and accessible resource for the team
  • Identify and address potential risks, dependencies & constraints related to level design with other departments while maintaining AAA quality
  • Champion the player experience as you collaborate with other disciplines to create outstanding levels and best in class FPS content.
  • Provide and solicit feedback in a graceful, constructive manner, with suggestions and solutions for improvement to the game editor, processes and project


Qualifications

You shipped at least one multiplayer FPS title, have 3+ years experience in level design and:

  • Experience in multiplayer shooter games as a level designer and/or an avid player.
  • General understanding of 3D spaces.
  • Experience with visual scripting and level design tools.
  • A passionate gamer, with strong knowledge of FPS and action games.
  • Comfortable working in cross discipline teams to deliver high quality content.
  • Prototype ideas and able to prove those ideas with all partners.
  • Outstanding communication and documentation skills.
  • Good English skills, able to demonstrate design intention accurately.
  • Across fields design experience, game mode design or combat design as a plus.
