Role Overview

Reporting to the Director, FinTech – Production Systems, you will lead EA's Connected Planning Center of Excellence (CoE). You will oversee the business-side strategy, operating model, and delivery for Anaplan-enabled planning and forecasting solutions across Finance and partner functions. This is a hybrid role, requiring three days per week in an EA office.

You will lead end-to-end planning solutions, partnering with Finance Transformation leads on process design and overseeing user enablement across build, testing, deployment, and ongoing support. Working with IT on architecture, integrations, environments, and data pipelines, you will ensure scalable, well-governed solutions that support connected planning. You will increase adoption, strengthening user support, standardizing ways of working, and improving planning capabilities at scale.

You will sit within the FinTech team, which owns the tools, data, and culture that ensure effective planning, analysis, decision support, and performance management.

Responsibilities:

Connected Planning & CoE Leadership

    • Lead the global Connected Planning core CoE team, defining standards, design principles, and best practices for Anaplan enabled planning and forecasting‑enabled planning and forecasting
    • Be the primary business owner for Anaplan within Finance
    • Define clear roles across model builders, process owners, and support resources
    • Mentor team members, building deep Anaplan and planning expertise

End-user Support & Operations‑User Support & Operations

    • Establish and run a tiered support model for the cross-functional Anaplan user community
    • Coordinate issue intake, prioritisation, resolution, and communication across time zones
    • Monitor platform usage, stability, and recurring issues

Process Ownership & Governance

    • Shape and evolve the connected planning roadmap in partnership with Finance leadership, functional process leads, and IT
    • Partner with Finance and functional leaders to define clear process ownership and stewardship for planning and forecasting processes
    • Lead standardisation, documentation, and continuous improvement of end-to-end planning processes‑to‑end planning processes
    • Lead Anaplan governance forums covering demand intake, prioritisation, and release planning and post mortem discussions with IT
    • Partner with the Finance Data Governance Manager on data ownership, definitions, and controls, with clear separation of responsibilities

Platform Delivery, Enhancements & Testing

    • Lead the business side delivery of Anaplan enhancements from requirements to release‑side delivery of Anaplan enhancements from requirements
    • Translate business and planning needs into high-quality functional designs‑quality functional designs
    • Oversee CoE model building partnership with IT including configuration, testing (unit, UAT), deployment readiness, and post release validation‑release validation
    • Ensure solutions are scalable, auditable, performant, and well documented‑documented

Training, Enablement & Documentation

    • Oversee development of training materials and process documentation
    • Foster a culture of knowledge sharing, best practice adoption, and learning

Partnership with IT & Enterprise Teams

    • Partner with IT on solution architecture, integrations, environments, security, and data pipelines
    • Ensure clear roles and handoffs between business and IT while maintaining seamless end-to-end delivery‑to‑end delivery
    • Align Anaplan solutions with EA's broader finance technology and data strategy

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; preference for Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics
  • 7+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or business analytics within a technology enabled environment‑enabled environment
  • Experience partnering with IT teams in complex, global organisations

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Experience with connected planning and finance processes
  • Experience with Anaplan model design and solutions
  • Experience with BI and visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Data modelling and analytical skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management
  • Experience in translating user requirements into scalable, well governed solutions‑governed solutions

 


Pay Transparency - North America

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS 

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES
* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$130,800 - $183,000 CAD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.
For British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
