As the developers of Skate™, we are set to provide an experience that embraces and builds upon everything our community found special about the previous games. As a geo-diverse studio, our team members around the globe can either work from home, in the office or a hybrid of both.
Location: Hybrid 3 days a week onsite the studio in Vancouver, Edmonton or Montreal.
Temporary Role: 12 months
As a Producer, you will partner closely with tech artists, engineers, artists and discipline leads across character systems and rendering, world streaming, procedural and content pipelines. You'll be accountable for driving production workflows that enable innovative tools, scalable content systems, and visual quality at runtime. You'll support both R&D and live game delivery, managing execution from concept through deployment while helping the team stay aligned and inspired.
You will report to the Producer.
Responsibilities:
Inspire and Empower: Lead by example through communication, clarity, and a passion for scalable solutions. Champion technical art by advocating for innovation, stability, and visual excellence.
Cross-Disciplinary Leadership: Foster strong relationships with character art, rendering engineers, world team, tools developers, and partner teams to drive feature and system alignment.
Execution & Delivery: Own milestone and sprint planning for character tech, streaming systems, and procedural tooling. Ensure scope, timing, and quality goals are consistently met.
Product Roadmap Partnership: Help manage the technical feature roadmap, aligning priorities between game design, engineering, and art teams.
Experience-Driven Development: Work with creative and technical partners to define content and tech requirements that enable targeted player experiences.
Vision Support: Help articulate and reinforce quality targets and system vision in collaboration with leads and directors.
Live Development: Participate in regular playtests, triage sessions, and performance reviews to support iteration and polish.
Problem Solving: Identify, track, and help resolve production and organizational issues, streamlining workflows for a cross-functional team.
Communication Hub: Keep stakeholders at all levels informed of progress, risks, and changes.
Team Development: Support skill-building by ensuring access to training, documentation, and evolving best practices.
Proactive Balance: Help teams prioritize workload, unblock problems, and creatively adapt to shifting goals.
Culture of Learning: Constantly seek to improve production methods and studio culture by applying lessons learned.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in production roles within game development.
Shipped at least one AAA title or complex system-heavy game.
Experience working with or supporting technical art, rendering, or tools teams.
Familiarity with pipelines for real-time character rendering, streaming/world composition, or procedural workflows.
Expertise managing large cross-functional teams and technical deliverables.
Agile mindset, comfortable in dynamic, iterative development cycles.
Strong ability to synthesize technical discussions into clear action items and decisions.
