Battlefield is a storied franchise renowned for uncompromising combat gameplay and all-out warfare, for over two decades. 100 million players and 5 billion hours played later, Battlefield Studios is defining the future of the first-person shooter with the biggest launch in franchise history with Battlefield 6, and a new era beginning with Battlefield REDSEC.

United under the banner of Battlefield Studios, 4 world-class teams across Criterion, DICE, Motive, and Ripple Effect have come together to focus on the future of the franchise, a connected Battlefield universe filled with immersive experiences built on our unique DNA.

At Ripple Effect, we are a studio where you can do the best work of your career. Above all, we’re driven by quality - in the games we create, and in the studio we’ve built.

Our values: We believe every day our work should be better than it was the day before. We iterate, innovate, and support our devs as they grow in their crafts and push one another toward mastery. We believe in operating with integrity, and creating an inclusive team where everyone’s ideas are heard.

With studios located in Los Angeles and Vancouver, Ripple Effect has been dedicated to the Battlefield franchise since our founding as DICE LA in 2013.

We’re all-in on the future and our most ambitious Battlefield yet. Want to be part of something special? Read on.

We're looking for a Senior Environment Artist — Assets to help define and deliver a realistic, immersive world grounded in believable materials, construction, and detail. You will operate at a project-wide level—creating the most architecturally complex and hero-level assets on the Battlefield. You will help us refine standards, improve our asset pipelines, and ensure consistency across all 3D asset creation.

You'll not only create assets, but elevate the people, pipelines, and processes around them. You'll collaborate with diverse teams, mentor other artists, and help define best practices that empower teams to grow as members of our team.

You will report to the Art Line Director.

What You'll Do:

  • Create high-quality, photoreal 3D assets across props, architecture, and modular systems.

  • Refine and uphold standards for modeling, surfacing, and asset consistency.

  • Drive modular workflows and asset reuse to support scalable world-building.

  • Provide feedback through art reviews and mentor other artists.

  • Partner with Leads/Directors on scope, estimates, and production planning.

  • Support external development team to ensure quality and consistency.

What We're Looking For:

  • 7+ years of experience creating realistic 3D assets for AAA games, with mastery in at least two of the following: hard surface modeling, architectural construction, modular kit creation, or organic asset work.

  • Portfolio demonstrating realistic 3D asset work for AAA games.

  • Proficiency with Maya, ZBrush, Substance, and real-time engines.

  • Proficiency with SideFX Houdini for procedural modeling, fracturing, or destruction workflows.

  • Experience with PBR pipelines and real-world material recreation.

  • Deep understanding of game production workflows, including estimating scope and timelines.

  • Experience balancing hands-on creation with leadership, mentorship, and process improvement.

  • Experience presenting ideas, surface risks, and influence decisions.

  • A collaborative mindset and desire to share knowledge and grow others.

Next Steps:

  • Apply online with a resume and provide a portfolio demonstrating realistic 3D asset.
