At Electronic Arts, we exist to inspire the world to play. We are looking for an accomplished Business Intelligence Engineer. You will report to the Director of Business Intelligence. We believe in creating an inclusive world inside and outside of our games for our players and our team. As a geo-diverse team, our team members around the globe can either work from home, in the office or a hybrid of both. You will develop dashboard-based solutions we have today while prototyping the AI-infused solutions of tomorrow. You will also stay informed of the latest tech and research on all aspects of BI and Analytics and will have experience delivering complex projects, including broad decision-making on technical decisions and implementation.
Responsibilities
You will develop automated reporting to promote data-driven decisions across the team and with partner teams.
You will contribute to the full development lifecycle, from idea generation to implementation, ensuring understanding of industry best practices
You will gather requirements, model and design solutions to support decision-making and data maturity
You will work with analysts, product managers, data architects and designers to understand requirements, and help develop interactive Power BI dashboards
You will support the process of adoption of new technologies and applications we use to integrate analytical solutions.
You will develop interactive dashboards and other self-service tools, backed by semantic data models
You will develop quality operational analytics BI products that extend support to Development Operations and Technical Leads, enhancing consistency and efficiency across franchises.
Qualifications
5+ years of relevant industry experience in BI engineering/report development
Proficiency in writing advanced, performant SQL/DAX queries.
Experience in UI/UX design principles and able to give design opinions and recommendations.
Well versed in consuming large enterprise data sets.
Experience using alternative or custom data sources within Power BI (ex. REST APIs).
Team player, initiative taker.
Experience in any cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Beneficial to Have
Knowledge and passion for video games.
Experience working with unstructured datasets.
Experience in the physical and logical design of database architecture for relational databases, data warehouses and data lakes.
Web development experience (HTML, React).
Power BI Service experience
Nice to have experience with with Python programming language
Exposure to creating data pipelines.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity. For British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
