We're a world-class community of technologists, innovators, strategists, and orchestrators transforming interactive entertainment. Together, we power the platforms, AI-driven tools, live services, and infrastructure that ensure global scale, secure player experiences, and unlock bold new possibilities.
Creative Innovation sits at the intersection of emerging technology, creative craft, and game-making — developing the tools, partnerships, and breakthroughs that help EA's studios create more ambitiously. We innovate alongside game teams, pushing the boundaries of what's possible, and our work reaches players through the world's most beloved games.
Reporting to a Development Director, you will be the delivery lead for a diverse software development team building internal platforms and tools for EA studios. Working with Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, and Technical Artists, you will translate product strategy into executable plans and lead delivery from planning through release. You will help the team deliver predictable, high-quality software while encouraging continuous improvement across delivery processes and team operations.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Product Managers, Technical Directors, Engineers, Designers, and Technical Artists to translate product strategy goals. This translation process involves creating executable delivery plans, including scope definition, work breakdown, estimation, sprint planning, and release planning.
- Manage Agile delivery for the team by increasing sprint ceremonies, monitoring execution against plans, and ensuring predictable, high-quality delivery through scope, risk, and dependency management.
- Anticipate delivery challenges and organisational gaps before they become blockers, taking ownership to lead solutions across teams and partners.
- Work with Engineering, QA, and Product partners to monitor delivery health, prioritise technical debt, manage resource allocation, and improve team effectiveness and software quality.
- Support and develop direct reports while encouraging a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment.
- Lead a team of approximately five direct reports, including Software Engineers and a UI Designer, supporting their growth, performance, and career development.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of project or program management experience leading software development projects from planning through release.
- 3+ years of people management experience, including coaching, providing feedback, and supporting employee development.
- Experience with the software development lifecycle, with experience partnering directly with Software Engineers, Designers, and Product Managers to define scope, facilitate estimation, manage dependencies, and develop realistic delivery plans.
- Experience leading Agile software delivery, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, release planning, delivery forecasting, and Agile ceremonies.
- Experience monitoring execution against plans, identifying scope changes, delivery risks, and dependency issues, and driving adjustments to maintain delivery commitments.
- Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance delivery processes, team operations, or cross-functional collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and adopt modern software development practices and AI-enabled tools to improve engineering productivity, team effectiveness, or software delivery.
