Electronic Arts is looking for a passionate, veteran social media lead that helps reinvigorate the vision and strategy of our flagship (@EA) social media channels. Help us take our social to the next level across platforms like TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram while leaning into hit franchises like Battlefield, Sims, EA Sports titles, and much more! You will report to the Director of Global Social Media & Community but will be integrated with franchise and leadership teams, plus working to promote corporate and DEI initiatives of the company.

Accountabilities:

  • Help define the vision of enterprise social channels together with corporate and franchise communication leadership.

  • Create and maintain multiple social channels, social voice, and engagement strategies.

  • Leverage reporting for informed decision-making for social media content and social channel strategy for long-term growth

  • Ensure execution of social media strategy has connective tissue to our franchise and corporate topline strategies.

Required skills: 

  • Work with leadership, responsible for creation and execution of social engagement strategy & real-time marketing with brand communications goals and campaign plans, defining and managing in collaboration with the franchise social team: 

    • Channel strategy

    • Top social media channels

    • Social voice(s) for respective games  

    • Social content creation 

    • Creator Network Strategy

    • Social KPIs 

  • You will create social strategies across internal processes and external channels, partnering with enterprise-wide and worldwide stakeholders to drive alignment to the plan, and ensuring a community-minded approach. 

  • You will be a collaborator in integrated comms structure to ensure constant alignment and cross-channel engagement with PR, influencer, and community teams.

  • You will manage the team and social media content calendar

  • You will help with daily tactical execution of campaign and social media projects. 

  • You have a community mindset to ensure content strategies can align to corporate needs and community expectations. 

  • You will be responsible for close collaboration and partnership with creative teams on content needs and creation around tentpole events.

  • You understand trends to better connect with the player community through relevant engagement and apply the knowledge to better connect with our communities. 

  • You will work with global budgets and lead the strategy for EA’s social media programming and daily channel creative executions.

  • You will connect with colleagues across Marketing, Communications, and Development to ensure succinct execution of tactics/campaign beats.

  • You will manage our external agency to drive supplemental social media content. 

  • You will report social engagement insights as part of Brand planning, learning and post-mortems, and always-on ideation on opportunities.

  • You will monitor & report on social media platform performance using third-party toolsets, including:

    • Sprout Social

    • Affogata

    • Synthesio

    • Level Up

  • You will be on top of the latest trends to find new and better ways of measuring social media activity, using this research to inform content and social strategy.

  • You will analyze competitor activity using social listening tools, taking this analysis into consideration to inform social strategy and content

  • You will work with enterprise-wide partners to provide a high-quality player experience inside and outside of our games through strategic real-time feedback about the health of our games.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field, or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Social Media Management or related field

  • Experience prioritizing the multitude of angles enterprise social accounts need to account for, including inputs from community sentiment, corporate communication priorities, and amplification needs of our franchise and studio teams 

  • High-quality writing skills w/ with global audiences in mind 

  • Experience managing interactions and experienced in conflict management

  • Comfort with ambiguity and highly adaptive in challenging environments and situations, including direct interactions within the player community.

  • Deliver high-return work in a team of multiple clients with diverse/dynamic needs

  • Present plans and concepts in English, along with solid organizational and task/project management abilities. 

  • Expert liaison, versatile and independent, creative solution-seeker and familiarity collaborating in a global environment

  • Creativity while achieving goals and driving unique and thoughtful projects

  • Proficient / Advanced / Expert at using social media analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, in-platform tools, and third-party products using Boolean search)

  • Build data-informed insights on community behavior that can be shared with other teams and data points to create relevant recommendations for action.

  • Creative thinking, maintaining focus on objectives while driving unique and thoughtful executions

  • Knowledge of AAA PC/console games and mobile game industry.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS 

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
    • $111,600 - $152,800 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
