About Us: Our Quality Verification and Standards (QVS) team is an important part of our development process, consistently delivering applicable insights that support our game teams to optimize software performance and improve gameplay.

We are Battlefield Quality Verification (QV), an important part of Electronic Arts, known for delivering the highest quality gaming experiences in the industry. We believe that phenomenal games start with diverse teams, mirroring the players and communities we serve.

About the Role: The Quality Designer position will require you to improve the existing test methodology identifying new capabilities. You will oversee the quality plan and will report to the QV Development Director and partner directly with the Producer and/or other Designers to establish quality standards and provide both quantitative and qualitative feedback on new features.

Responsibilities:

  • Use testing skills and methodologies to systematically test the product and share results
  • Research and propose solutions for increasing test coverage efficiency
  • Use different testing methodologies and analyze feature sets for automation opportunities (Risk-based Testing, Data/AI-driven testing and more)
  • Serve as the communication bridge between development partners and QA teams
  • Lead  improvements and knowledge sharing across teams

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in software development, quality assurance, or game design
  • Understanding of game modding tools or user-generated content workflows
  • Experience with defect and task tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail)
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Experience with Grey/White box testing in development environments
  • Basic knowledge with scripting or programming, such as creating blueprints in Unreal or writing in LUA is a plus

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). BASE SALARY RANGES

  • California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento)
    • $82,500 - $122,900 USD

In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
