The Marketplace team is tasked with growing our cross-game, cross-platform digital economy and trading platform. These large-scale, always-on services power the virtual-economies of EA’s network of games experienced by tens of millions of daily active users.
As a Software Engineering Intern, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers building the backend services that enable secure, scalable, and engage player experiences across EA’s ecosystem.
What You’ll Do
You will have end-to-end ownership of a project within the Virtual Economy Platform.
You will receive 1:1 mentorship from a dedicated Software Engineer on the team.
You will enhance or add to existing features within the services.
You will participate in daily stand-up meetings, work on technical projects and collaborate with other team members.
You will help deliver a seamless cross-play experience, allowing players to connect and engage across multiple systems with ease.
You will work with cutting-edge technologies and have the opportunity to shape the future of cross-play features.
Qualifications:
You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree granting program
You have experience with any coding language
You are passionate about innovation
You must be available for a full-time paid internship in the summer of 2026
We are only considering students who will be enrolled in an accredited degree program in the summer of 2026, slated to graduate no earlier than December 2026. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada on a full time basis during the 16-week internship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
The hourly pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including 80 hours per year of sick time (prorated based on scheduled hours per week if less than full-time), 16 paid company holidays per year, medical insurance, and 401(k).
