The Tools and Technology Team is looking for accomplished people to help us fulfil our mission of providing creative tools and workflows that allow EA to lead the industry in content quality. Our group strives to build an ecosystem of modular components that are efficient, adjustable to trends, and allow for quick iteration of any artistic idea into reality.

EA’s Shared Asset Library (SAL) is an evolving platform for hosting, sharing, and deploying cross-domain content and assets, for use across multiple games. This role can be remote.

The Challenge Ahead:

As a Back-end Engineer, you will be part of a development team for a high-profile project that will help EA as a whole. You will work to provide a cloud-native asset library, using a microservices approach on a .NET platform. You will report to the Development Director, and partner closely with the Technical Lead, as well as the rest of the team designers and engineers.

Day to day you will…

  • Partner with the front-end/back-end engineers and UX designers on the team to deliver a best-in-class tool for EA.

  • Create new services for the asset library, supplementing our existing skillset with your specialized knowledge.

  • Use your tech stack knowledge to maintain the existing asset library code.

  • Produce scalable, extendable, and robust code, focusing on quality and maintainability.

  • Actively contribute to the developer community.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience in back-end development with a focus on data engineering, cloud computing, or distributed systems.

  • Knowledge in database, data warehouse, data lake and data mining.

  • Strong understanding of data architecture principles, big data technologies, and AI applications in cybersecurity.

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum-based development environments.
