We are seeking an experienced, highly creative, and detail-oriented Group Lead to oversee the craft and quality of gameplay capture across multiple high-profile sports franchises. This role serves as a key creative bridge between internal production, creative, editorial, and capture teams, ensuring that all captured gameplay aligns with project timelines, creative direction, and technical requirements.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in gameplay capture, creative production workflows, and team leadership. This role will be responsible for mentoring and directing a team of capture artists, managing the planning and execution of capture sessions across various titles and assets.
This position requires a creative, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges, optimize workflows, and drive projects from concept to completion while maintaining the highest quality standards.
MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS:
Extensive knowledge across all major sports and leagues and franchises (FC, NFL, CFB, NHL/UFC)
Experienced content creator for video games, or equivalent production experience
Ability to clearly interpret and describe the creative vision to the capture team to ensure capture will meet quality standards.
Experienced mentor with the ability to lead a group of capture artists to hit creative goals.
Must be extremely detailed oriented and organized.
Must be able to keep multiple teams focused and motivated while driving multiple projects.
Ability to give clear and concise creative notes to the capture teams across multiple projects.
DAILY / WEEKLY RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily stand ups with the Capture teams and Capture Director to ensure work is on track.
Quickly able to identify roadblocks and find creative solutions to avoid lost production days.
Works with franchise creative and capture leads to build shot-lists based on creative vision.
Coordinates capture schedules with production and creative partners to ensure deadlines can be met and quality can be reached.
Oversees the work of multiple capture artists, providing mentorship and helpful tips on ways to capture more efficiently while raising the bar of what good looks like.
Brings a passion to work that inspires the team to generate genre leading content.
Quickly adapts to work across multiple assets, easily shifting from one project to another to ensure the capture team is working efficiently.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to interpret creative briefs and translate them into actionable capture tasks.
Experience mentoring or leading creative teams.
Familiarity with gameplay systems, build readiness indicators, and debugging tools.
Proven experience in gameplay capture or game development pipelines.
Strong understanding of production workflows, asset delivery, and cross-functional team collaboration.
Proficient with tools such as Frame.io, G-Drive, and project management platforms (e.g., ShotGrid, Jira, Asana).
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
NICE TO HAVE
Background in video editing, game design, or cinematics production.
Experience working across multiple game titles or franchises simultaneously.
Understanding of motion capture, virtual production, or camera direction in gameplay capture.

- $111,600 - $152,800 CAD
