Head of Asia Market Insights

At Electronic Arts (EA), we’re on a mission to Inspire the World to Play. As a global leader in interactive entertainment, we bring immersive games and services to players across platforms—from mobile and console to PC and beyond. Our portfolio includes beloved franchises like EA SPORTS FC™, Apex Legends™, Battlefield™, The Sims™ and Need for Speed™. Asia is one of the most dynamic and diverse regions in the gaming world, and EA is committed to deepening our understanding of this rapidly evolving market. We’re hiring a Head of Asia Market Insights to lead regional foresight and inform high-impact strategic decisions.

Role Overview

As Head of Asia Market Insights, you will be EA’s strategic expert on market trends, player behaviors, and entertainment ecosystems across Asia. This senior role is focused on unlocking market opportunities and informing publishing, through robust external intelligence. Drawing on your consulting-style approach and deep research skills, you’ll create comprehensive, actionable market insights. Your deliverables will directly influence EA’s executive decisions, growth plans, and regional priorities. You will sit alongside the Head of Asia Analytics, forming a complementary insights leadership pair—combining internal data with external foresight to shape EA’s Asia strategy development.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead EA Asia’s market intelligence, building a regional view of gaming and broader entertainment landscapes across all Asia markets
  • Conduct deep-dive research using sources such as Newzoo, Famitsu and Niko partners to build market sizing and forecasts, platform/gene trends, gamer demographics, revenue models, consumer sentiment, government policy impact
  • Analyze and deliver insights on:
    1. Gaming market potential and growth forecasts by country/platform
    2. Install base projections, platform adoption (mobile vs. PC vs. console), and infrastructure readiness
    3. Consumer behaviour, generational shifts, entertainment preferences, and economic or regulatory dynamics
    4. Adjacent macro trends in tech (AI, cloud gaming, 5G), entertainment, and digital lifestyles that influences future outcomes in the broader gaming industry and/or EA directly
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive library of regional market data, white papers, industry policy briefings that can be tapped into for latest trends
  • Produce strategic reports, dashboards, and executive presentations that influence business planning, investment decisions, and content roadmaps
  • Collaborate with EA Asia Analytics to create predictive market modelling
  • Present findings regularly to regional and global senior executives, influencing decisions at the highest levels

What You Bring

  • 7+ years in market insights, strategy, consulting, or research, ideally within gaming, tech, media, or entertainment
  • Ability to synthesize complex qualitative and quantitative data into concise, business-relevant insights
  • Proven track record of executive-facing communication, strategic planning, or scenario modelling
  • Deep familiarity with Asian markets, socio-economic factors, and cultural dynamics
  • Skilled in interpreting and applying findings from sources like Newzoo, Famitsu, Niko Partners, and similar market intelligence providers
  • Strong storytelling and presentation skills with a consulting-quality deliverable standard (e.g., PowerPoint, briefing decks, visual data storytelling)

Nice-to-Have

  • Understanding of video game KPIs and publishing models (e.g., F2P, premium, live service)
  • Experience working with or commissioning third-party research vendors
  • Familiarity with regional policy, data privacy, or regulatory factors affecting the games industry
  • Experience working across multiple Asian markets or in regional headquarters

What’s in it for you?
