Lead Video Editor
Who We Are We’re a Video Localization team that values creativity, collaboration, and clarity. We work on global projects and appreciate fresh ideas, thoughtful processes, and the ability to guide others. We believe in empowering our editors and promoting a supportive atmosphere. We support hybrid work, and you will work 60% of your time each month in our Madrid office.
Who You Are You will report to Video localizatio manager. You will bring deep technical expertise in video editing, motion graphics, and visual effects. You enjoy sharing your knowledge, leading teams, and finding ways to improve workflows. You understand the nuances of localization and how to adapt content for different markets. You want to build an environment where editors grow, projects run smoothly, and everyone can contribute.
What You’ll Do
Leadership & Technical Guidance
Oversee Technical Decisions: You will set standards for video editing, motion graphics, and effects. We’ll depend on your skills in After Effects, Premiere, and other Creative Cloud tools.
Mentor Your Team: You will lead a group of editors, provide constructive feedback, share best practices, and help everyone stay aligned with our brand guidelines.
Promote Growth: You will track personal and team performance, celebrate successes, and encourage continuous development.
Project Coordination
Plan & Allocate Resources: You’ll estimate needs for upcoming projects and balance workloads.
Track Tasks in Jira: You’ll monitor timelines and stay aware of how long each project will take.
Meet Deadlines: You’ll work with producers to set clear schedules and ensure on-time delivery of video content.
Collaborate with Outsourcing Partners: You’ll define expectations, review external deliverables, and integrate them into our pipeline.
Communication
Share Updates & Risks: You’ll flag potential challenges early and suggest ways to solve them.
Encourage Feedback: You’ll help create a culture of open dialogue with colleagues, producers, and QA.
Reporting
Performance Tracking: You’ll compile reports on project progress, identify challenges, and track resource use.
Budget Awareness: You’ll keep an eye on costs for software and equipment.
Post-Project Reviews: You’ll lead discussions on what went well and what can improve for future projects.
What You Bring
Experience of After Effects, Premiere, and other Creative Cloud tools, with advanced motion graphics and effects skills.
Team Leadership Experience managing groups of four or more. You’ve guided feedback, set goals, and fostered a positive team dynamic.
Communication that helps you explain technical ideas to different audiences.
Project Management Familiarity with platforms like Jira or Confluence.
Flexibility to handle priorities while maintaining quality.
Bonus Points
Localization Background in adapting content for different languages and cultures.
Interest in Gaming or awareness of current industry trends.
