Descrizione e requisiti

In EA's Legal department, we provide practical solutions to manage risk so our EA business teams can offer great gaming experiences. To succeed, we put our players first, know our business partners' goals, and take smart risks.

We're hiring a Senior Contract Specialist to join our Commercial Legal Team, supporting technology and marketing transactions as well as transactions for internal functions at EA (e.g., Finance, Global Affairs, Workplace Experience).

You are an effective communicator who is experienced in developing working relationships across teams. You are looking for opportunities to learn and grow.

You will report to the Managing Commercial Counsel and be based in one of the following EA office locations in hybrid work model: (1) Redwood Shores, CA, (2) Los Angeles, CA, (3) Seattle, WA, or (4) Vancouver, Canada.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Under the guidance and direction of the Managing Commercial Counsel and the other attorneys on the Commercial Legal Team, and in line with EA's internal guidance, you will draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements including software and content licenses, consulting and other services agreements, SaaS agreements (including data protection agreements), hardware purchase agreements, and other agreements.
  • Review, make changes to, and negotiate counterparty paper and adapt EA templates as needed for various transactions.
  • Quickly escalate issues to appropriate internal teams where needed and collaborate with those teams to find creative solutions.
  • Participate in recurring meetings with legal colleagues and business partners to build a knowledge of EA's business and determine how to prioritize work.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the Legal department to contribute to internal projects, including updates to contract templates and other internal tools and reference materials.

Qualifications:

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program.
  • You have 5+ years of experience as a paralegal, ideally with technology or entertainment clients.
  • You excel in collaborating with teams across EA and legal colleagues.
  • You can manage the entire contract process from request to execution under supervision.
  • You show the ability to work reliably to meet goals.
  • You have experience with contract lifecycle management systems.
