Global Media Planning
Global Media Planning is dedicated to delivering an audience-first approach across channels and content to maximize growth and uncover data-driven opportunities. We focus on designing a cohesive ecosystem that seamlessly integrates audiences, channels, and content, ensuring a frictionless fan experience.

The Director, Connections Planning (Portfolio) will play a key role in supporting the team and ensuring the effective implementation of our newly defined operating model. This position focuses on maintaining and enhancing the value and visibility of connections planning within the organization during the parental leave period.

In this role, you'll support a team of specialists in executing an audience-focused strategy across various channels and content. You'll use data insights to assist in optimizing growth and ensure the team operates effectively within the established systems.

As a strategic partner, you'll collaborate with leaders across Global Media Planning and Brand Franchise teams, aligning team deliverables with broader planning decisions to drive growth. This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Global Media Planning for EA and is a fixed-term role covering parental leave from January through July 2026.

Responsibilities:

  • Enhance Strategic Impact: Elevate current strategies and practices to increase the overall impact and effectiveness of connections planning across the organization.

  • Increase Visibility and Value: Promote the importance and value of connections planning within the organization, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead collaboration with Franchise Marketing and Creative teams to drive cohesive planning and execution.

  • Optimize Channel Integration: Oversee integration of paid, owned, and earned media strategies to enhance fan engagement and optimize their journey.

  • Data-Driven Personalization: Leverage data insights to inform personalized messaging strategies, increasing audience relevancy and engagement.

  • Blueprint Development: Create and manage detailed cross-channel blueprints that clarify the role of each channel and creative messaging.

  • Performance and Innovation: Coach and mentor the team to deliver actionable insights for creative and channel enhancements, fostering a culture of innovation.

  • Agency Partnerships: Collaborate with media agencies to refine connections plans through audience insights and media trends.

  • Team Development: Guide and develop team members, promoting strategic growth and creative excellence while cultivating a culture of inclusivity that values teamwork, continuous feedback, and professional growth.


Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in paid media, connections planning, or marketing strategy, with a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams, preferably in sports, gaming, or entertainment industries.

  • Expertise in developing and executing data-driven channel strategies that integrate brand and performance activations across the entire funnel.

  • Exceptional ability to transform complex channel ecosystems into engaging and compelling narratives.

  • Strong capability to present to and influence senior executives across marketing, commercial, and studio divisions.

  • Advanced quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven ability to drive transformative change across teams and partner organizations.

  • Proficiency in designing impactful visuals for presentations, ecosystems, and connections plans.

  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and a demonstrated ability to achieve efficiencies.

  • Deep interest and expertise in both short- and long-term measurement, strategic use of first-party data, and next-generation attribution models.
