Main Purpose of the Role
The Associate Technical Account Manager works within Global Operations to support the delivery of EA franchises to market across console and PC platforms. Working as part of the Technical Account Management (TAM) team and reporting to the Global Operations Director, the Associate TAM partners with Technical Account Managers in aligning Configuration Plans with franchise and channel strategies. Associate TAMs are assigned to selected AA  franchises, leading configuration planning for those products while drawing on mentoring and support from experienced TAMs as needed to deepen their platform and account management expertise.

Duties and Responsibilities

Platform Configuration and Strategic Alignment

  • Initially support Technical Account Managers in creating and communicating product set up and configuration plans for first party and platform partner offers (full game, DLC, betas, virtual currency and subscriptions),   over time take  end to end configuration ownership for selected AA titles, using established processes and playbooks, independently owning and delivering plans for those titles.
  • Prepare materials and host Configuration Plan readout sessions with Release Management, ensuring product scope, offers and platform requirements are clearly documented, communicated and understood.
  • Support Studios in understanding submission processes and platform capabilities, partnering with experienced TAMs when more complex questions arise.
  • Partner with GO Portfolio Directors and Planning & Readiness teams by providing configuration input and clarifications for assigned franchises.
  • Maintain tools and documentation so that Content IDs and platform information for assigned titles remain accurate and traceable.

Programme Management and Delivery

  • Understand global schedule dependencies and engage with teams to support submission schedules.
  • Work with GO Release Management to support effective operations and address escalations.

Relationship Management and Skills Development

  • Initially support TAMs in owning relationships with multiple partners: First Party platform partners, EA’s Platform teams (EADP, EAX), Studio Dev, Commercial Publishing, QA teams, BizOps, Store Ops and Configuration teams. As your experience grows, take direct ownership of day to day account management for assigned AA franchises, acting as a primary Global Operations contact on configuration and platform topics.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing by updating Confluence pages, playbooks and referencing examples that help Global Operations execute configuration consistently.
  • Participate in ongoing training on platform tools, Global Operations workflows and EA internal systems, with a focus on building deeper configuration and platform expertise.

Special Considerations

The GO team experiences peak activity periods, requiring flexibility in working hours, including weekends. Extended annual leave is limited during these times.

Experience Required

You bring a strong foundation in product set up within First Party (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam, Epic) platform tools and have proven account management experience.

  • Experience in submission, release management or quality verification across multiple platforms within the games industry.
  • At least 2 years of experience working on product submissions or platform set ups, with hands on experience to at least two of the following tools: Sony Content Pipeline, Microsoft Partner Centre, Nintendo Developer Portal, Steamworks, Epic Games Store self publishing tools, EA App or other PC storefronts.
  • Familiarity with first party platform requirements and an interest in deepening expertise in troubleshooting live issues.
  • Experience working cross functionally with development, QV or commercial teams, demonstrating core account management skills (expectation setting, follow through on actions, stakeholder updates) and clear written and verbal communication.
  • Exposure to managing schedules or task dependencies across multiple teams or time zones.
  • Proficiency with collaboration and documentation tools such as Confluence, Jira, AirTable and Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.
