We are looking for a Security Automation Intern to support product development and automation projects that strengthen identity and secrets management. This internship offers hands-on experience securing identities and secrets, exposure to modern engineering workflows, and insight into how enterprise-scale security systems are designed, built, and maintained.
Responsibilities:
Support automation tasks that improve productivity and reduce manual effort within the security engineering team
Develop scripts, utilities, or integrations under the guidance of senior Architects & Engineers.
Help with the migration of EA's secret management platform from HashiCorp to an alternative solution.
Document findings and participate in discussions on the build-vs-buy decision process for the migration.
Support evaluation of Non-Human Identity Lifecycle Management (NHILM) vendors and help conduct proofs of concept (POCs) to identify misuse of secrets, pinpoint exposure, and reduce risk.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related technical field
Interest in security engineering, identity and access management, and secrets management
1+ years of experience with software development concepts and experience with at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, JavaScrip, and PowerShell
Awareness of CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) and version control systems.
Understanding of secrets management and non-human identity management tools (e.g., HashiCorp Vault, Akeyless, CyberArk)
Knowledge of containerization and infrastructure-as-code practices (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, or Terraform).
You must be available for a full-time paid internship in the summer of 2026.
At this time, we are considering Undergrad students who will be enrolled in an accredited degree program in the summer of 2026, slated to graduate no earlier than December 2026. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis during the 12-week internship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
