Battlefield is a storied franchise renowned for uncompromising combat gameplay for over two decades. 100 million players and 5 billion hours played later, the Battlefield team is looking to define the future of the first-person shooter. United under the banner of Battlefield Studios, 4 world-class teams across Criterion, DICE, Motive and Ripple Effect  have come together to focus on the future of the franchise, a connected Battlefield universe filled with immersive experiences built on our unique DNA.

We are hiring a Senior Director of Operations to join our team. We are considering on-site and hybrid working options within the Los Angeles (Del Rey) area for applicants to this role.

As the Senior Director of Operations, you will report to the VP/GM of Battlefield North America and partner closely with leaders at Ripple Effect and Motive to ensure the studio operates efficiently, sustainably, and in sync with the broader Battlefield goals. You’ll collaborate closely with Franchise Operations and operational leaders across the regions to ensure alignment, consistency, and knowledge-sharing across the franchise.

You’ll oversee all aspects of Battlefield North American studios’ operations: people systems, planning, culture, and infrastructure across our Los Angeles, Montreal, and Vancouver locations.

This role connects North America’s leadership vision and the Battlefield Franchise’s vision to day-to-day strategy, production and studio operations, ensuring teams have the clarity, tools, and support they need to create world-class Battlefield experiences.

Leadership

  • You will lead with a Battlefield “franchise first” mentality – serving the franchise and players above the studio, while maintaining a strong culture and sense of belonging between the team.

  • You will promote and champion the vision, mission, and strategic programs to have an impact across the Battlefield franchise.

  • Help maintain and develop a healthy and engaging culture through leading by example and mentorship, and growing leader capabilities.

  • You will play a key role in ensuring conditions of success for our game teams and help build a culture of excellence, high performance, accountability and ongoing growth and development.

  • You will partner with the VP/GM North America, collaborating with Operations leaders across Battlefield’s European studios and the Franchise Operations to align on goals, share best practices, and strengthen how all studios operate as one global Battlefield team.

  • You will champion studio culture and leadership development programs that strengthen engagement, accountability, and growth.

  • You will drive your teams and be a key leader in the franchise overall in inspiring and driving the teams to execute with excellence, at times helping them achieve what they did not think was possible.

Operations

  • Support game development processes, including  studios role in the overall Battlefield title planning and Battlefield’s Game Development (GDF) processes. Proven understanding of the creative process from ideation to prototype to production.

  • You will own Ripple Effect and Motive studio operations: people systems, planning, facilities, and shared services,  ensuring both locations work together seamlessly.

  • You will partner with production, craft, and support leaders to make day-to-day operations simple, transparent, and scalable.

  • You will continuously assess and improve how the Battlefield North American Studios plan, communicate and deliver, removing bottlenecks and creating clarity for teams.

  • You will lead operational planning across LA, Montreal, and Vancouver, ensuring all sites have what they need to deliver efficiently.

Project Management

  • Build and maintain long-range studio plans that anticipate team growth, hiring, and facility needs across LA, Montreal, and Vancouver.

  • Provide visibility into the team's capacity and priorities, ensuring projects and support teams stay aligned.

  • Work with the VP/GM and studio leadership to manage dependencies with other Battlefield studios.

  • Track key operational metrics: space, staffing, engagement and take action when risks appear.

  • Help teams adapt planning methods to match their project phase while maintaining clarity and efficiency.

Financial / Infrastructure / Talent

  • Manage studios budget, forecasting, and financial planning in collaboration with the VP/GM and Finance.

  • Oversee space and infrastructure planning across all sites to ensure smooth scaling and collaboration.

  • Lead workforce planning and talent growth initiatives in partnership with People Experience, TA, and Facilities.
