EA SPORTS Security team is seeking an Associate Quality Designer, in our Bucharest location. This role is integral to ensuring the security of our games by working with development teams and addressing security incidents. You have a background in Quality Verification and an interest in video game security.
The Associate Quality Designer will support security development by executing and contributing to testing activities, assisting with data analysis, and communicating findings to relevant stakeholders. You will contribute to documenting quality processes and support analytical initiatives that enhance verification effectiveness. Reporting to the SPORTS Security Quality Verification Lead, the Associate Quality Designer will work with several SPORTS Security teams.
Responsibilities:
Establish working relationships across the SPORTS Security Team.
Test security features, report bugs, and contribute suggestions to improve game security.
Support reviews of quality strategies and test plans for assigned areas or features.
Assist in identifying and proposing solutions to quality issues with guidance from senior team members.
Apply change control processes to help assess the impact of evolving quality strategies.
Translate defined quality strategies into assigned verification tasks and activities.
Support the identification of technical solutions and opportunities for test automation.
Use internal and external data to support data-informed verification activities.
Contribute to process improvements and participate in knowledge-sharing within the SPORTS Security QV team.
Provide regular progress and status updates to Quality Designers, managers, and other Security team members.
Support peers through collaboration and knowledge sharing as appropriate.
Required Skills and Experience:
4+ years of applicable work experience.
A passion for games with a player first mentality.
Perform quality assurance on generated results to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Experience working in an embedded, integrated product team.
Interest in penetration testing and understanding cheating software and tools.
In-depth knowledge of software/game development, including both agile and waterfall methodologies.
Defect and Task tracking tool experience (JIRA, DevTrack, TestRail, or Hansoft).
Experience working within a continuous delivery or deployment model.
Nice-To-Haves:
2+ years of experience with video game Game Security.
Ability to solve complex security risks, trends and threats to the product/service.
Knowledge in security feature backend and verification methodology for cheating and detection scenarios.
Work experience with medium-to-large-scale teams and distributed peers.
