We are looking for an experienced people leader who is passionate about driving software and game quality to lead our EA Sports FC (Football Club) products based in our Vancouver studio.

You will provide operational leadership for the Quality Verification (QV) department, comprising of management, quality design, engineering, and analytics. This multi-discipline department is a component of the development and live services for our FC franchise. You will report to the Supervising Development Director for FC QV.

Your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Manage planning in all development stages from pre-production, production, launch, and live services.
  • Scope and Capacity Management across QV.
  • Overall project risk management and reporting to FC leadership.
  • Create scenarios and guide the decision-making process.
  • Improve operational effectiveness of team effort by assessing current practices, incorporating new strategies, and increasing predictability.
  • Promote the evolution of QV practices across FC products.
  • Identify opportunities to share practices, tools, and analytics across Vancouver, EA Bucharest and the rest of EA.
  • Effective change management. Change is welcomed as an opportunity to drive strategic, business-impacting change.

Your primary People Management responsibilities will be:

  • Mentor and support other leaders across all disciplines; build and mentor teams.
  • Identify resourcing needs, guide and develop changes to talent, skills and practices to accomplish operational and strategic goals.
  • Coordinate talent management and succession planning.
  • Monitor and evolve talent skill mix, using training and active recruitment plans and strategies.
  • Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion.

Experiences and Capabilities:

  • 5+ years of project management or team leadership experience.
  • 3+ years of experience managing people, including managing managers.
  • 3+ years of experience leading and growing large multi-discipline teams.
  • 3+ years of experience with automated testing.
  • 1+ years experience with Continuous Delivery or Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Understand software quality assurance and software development lifecycle practices.
  • Education requirement: University Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
