People Practices Team
Director, People Partnerships - India
EA is looking for a dynamic, results-driven talent leader to join our People Practices team as a leader for our PP team in Hyderabad. Our team is committed to driving an exceptional worker experience through strong advocacy and partnership to attract, grow and retain our talent. This role will be a hands-on management role and you will report to the global VP, People Practices.

Your success is rooted in driving process excellence, scaling organizational capabilities and establishing strong leadership and collaborative partnerships that enable you to influence the business and deliver PE programs, practices and support in meaningful and efficient ways. You will also be responsible for our Hyderabad site and India leadership responsibilities for day to day people initiatives.
What the Director, People Partnerships does at EA:
- Develops effective partnerships with business leaders, People Experience leaders and management across client group(s) throughout India in support of a wide-range of people related activities that support delivery of business strategy and goals;
- Provides leadership and oversight to your team as they prepare for, manage and communicate the key cyclical programs including: compensation planning, performance, talent and succession planning, team engagement surveys and action planning;
- Leads a team of People Partner professionals to ensure consistent and streamlined practices and services across the business;
- Actively works to improve the efficiency and impact of programs and practices while driving continuous improvements;
- Partners with senior managers and team members to coach them on a range of activities including: leadership capability, performance management, and team effectiveness;
- Partners closely with business leaders to drive manager accountability and improve individual and team capabilities through identification of training and skills development opportunities;
- Reviews and analyzes workforce data across the BU and designated site and key people metrics to improve the worker experience, assess gaps and opportunities and provides insights to help inform the right business decisions;
- Supports the organization’s ability to change by developing the capacity and readiness for change across the business/region and facilitates change initiatives for client group(s) including coaching management on planning and communications and ensuring change acceptance and sustainability;
- Supports the ongoing development and career progression of team members through coaching, performance feedback and career discussion to foster meaningful career experiences while meeting the needs of the business;
- Works with managers, employees and COEs to respond to employee relations issues and develop overall capability to foster a healthy, cohesive, collaborative, fun, fair and equitable workplace.
- Enables and leverages Site Governance Playbook to ensure effective leadership collaboration across designated sites. Is an active member of site governance in the Hyderabad Location.
- Country Role - Responsible for ensuring that People Policies and Practices are kept up to date to mitigate risk and remain compliant in partnership with People Policy Excellence and Legal. Reviews and approves exception requests across BU's to ensure consistency and compliance with country laws and fair and equitable treatment. Partners with legal to ensure changes to country employment laws and legislation are understood by the team. Escalates country risk concerns in a timely manner to Global VP People Practices.
Our Director, People Partnerships at EA also needs to have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field combined with over 15 years’ progressive experience as an HR business partner and people leader;
- Ability to think strategically, execute tactically, and collaborate across regional and global stakeholder groups;
- Comfort in speaking truth to power;
- Analytical mindset with proven experience using data and data-driven insights to support the business;
- A business partner, who is equally a builder of HR solutions based on best practices, as well as, an astute business member who employs solutions that affect the current and future performance of the business;
- Subject matter expert, with demonstrated experience in coaching and development, change management, and overall talent management;
- Strong change management skills - comfortable with ambiguity and constant change, able to work through complex problems, set priorities and execute on commitments;
- Outstanding project leadership and delivery experience; overseeing region-wide, high impact talent programs across the business;
- Comprehensive understanding of regional/local employment legislation combined with the ability to gain a high-level understanding of regional employment customs and practices;
- Has a passion for creating healthy organizations, driving transformation and helping culture be a competitive advantage.
