EA SPORTS is looking for a skilled Motion Designer to help shape the future of our American Football experiences. In this role, you’ll bring UI concepts to life through expressive, purposeful motion, crafting animatics, visual targets, celebration moments, and interaction flows that elevate clarity, excitement, and player engagement.
What You’ll Do
Create high-quality animatics, motion studies, and VTARs that define how UI screens and flows feel in-game.
Bring Figma UI mocks to life through animation, focusing on readability, pacing, and interaction clarity.
Design celebration moments, feedback cues, and micro-interactions that enhance player emotion without compromising usability.
Collaborate closely with UI/UX, art direction, and engineering to ensure motion is both inspiring and feasible for implementation.
Contribute to motion guidelines and help maintain a consistent motion language across the game.
Support in-engine tuning of animations and create flipbook animations to help achieve final in-game motion quality.
What We’re Looking For
8–10+ years of motion design experience in games, interactive media, or high-end digital products.
Expertise in After Effects, and strong proficiency in Cinema 4D or Blender, and functional understanding of Figma
A deep understanding of UI/UX principles, animation fundamentals, and how motion supports accessibility and player comprehension.
Ability to balance excitement and clarity, creating motion that enhances gameplay without overwhelming it.
Strong communication skills and experience working in cross-disciplinary teams.
(Bonus) Familiarity with game engines and animation curve tuning (Unreal, Unity, Frostbite, etc.).
What Success Looks Like
Screens and flows feel polished, intuitive, and responsive, with motion reinforcing the emotional highs of the experience.
Motion targets clearly guide cross-functional teams toward a shared vision.
Celebrations feel rewarding, authentic, and aligned with the games identity.
You elevate the game’s visual storytelling while maintaining a strong focus on accessibility and usability.
