The challenge ahead
The Data & Insights team provides unified Artificial Intelligence (AI) resources across all franchises within Electronic Arts. Our group develops machine learning, AI, and data-driven solutions to game team problems, and a powerful AI live-service system for use in every facet of the company. From data modeling to model building, we use a modern tech stack with excellent tools to provide live-service solutions and platforms to enhance player in-game experience and power the future of game marketing and sales. We're looking for talented and motivated engineers to help us create and expand recommendation live-services to develop ML applications that power our games.
What you’ll do
Help design core recommendation live-service system components to ease the creation and management of AI/ML models and recommendation logic.
Work side-by-side with AI Scientists and Data Scientists to build new models.
Work with existing code to add new features and adapt code to new requirements.
Work closely with the core development teams to deploy models seamlessly as part of production systems.
Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analyses, model development, model validation and model implementation.
Who you are
Must be currently enrolled in a university and graduate after December 2026.
Must have experience with programming languages such as Python, Ruby or Java.
Must be familiar with ML domain and common workflows.
Bonus: experience with large scale data processing.
Bonus: experience with distributed system development.
You must be available for a full-time paid internship in the summer of 2026.
At this time, we are considering Masters students who will be enrolled in an accredited degree program in the summer of 2026, slated to graduate no earlier than December 2026. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis during the 12-week internship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location. EA has listed the pay ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, degree type (e.g. Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD), what stage you are in your degree journey (i.e. freshman, sophomore, etc.), qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs. BASE SALARY RANGES • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria): º 65,000 - $70,000 CAN Salary The pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including 80 hours per year of sick time (prorated based on scheduled hours per week if less than full-time), 16 paid company holidays per year, medical insurance, and 401(k). |
