Battlefield is a storied franchise renowned for uncompromising combat gameplay for over two decades. 100 million players and 5 billion hours played later, the Battlefield team is looking to define the future of the first-person shooter. United under the banner of Battlefield Studios, 4 world-class teams across Criterion, DICE, Motive and Ripple Effect  have come together to focus on the future of the franchise, a connected Battlefield universe filled with immersive experiences built on our unique DNA.

We are hiring a Senior Director of Operations to join our team. We are operating in a hybrid environment (3 days a week onsite) and are considering applications within the Montreal and Vancouver area.

As the Senior Director of Operations, you will report to the VP/GM of Battlefield North America and partner closely with our Production & Operations leaders to ensure the studio functions efficiently, sustainably, and in sync with the broader Battlefield goals.

You’ll oversee all aspects of Battlefield North American studios’ operations: people programs, planning, culture, and infrastructure across our Los Angeles, Montreal, and Vancouver locations.

This role connects North America’s leadership vision and the Battlefield Franchise’s vision to day-to-day strategy, production and studio operations, ensuring teams have the clarity, tools, and support they need to create world-class Battlefield experiences.

What You'll Do

Leadership

  • Lead with a Battlefield-first mindset, putting franchise needs ahead of studio priorities while fostering a strong culture and sense of belonging across our North American Studios

  • Champion the franchise vision, strategy, and operational goals across North American studios.

  • Build a culture of excellence, accountability, growth, and high performance through leadership, coaching, and talent development.

  • You will partner with the VP/GM North America, collaborating with Operations leaders across Battlefield and the NA Chief of Staff to align on goals, share best practices, and strengthen how all studios operate as one global Battlefield team.

  • Directly responsible for leading and managing a small North American operations team, providing clear direction, coaching, and growth opportunities while ensuring effective delivery against organizational priorities.

Operations

  • Oversee NA studio operations, including planning and building processes, contributing to people programs and shared studio services (IT, Facilities, etc.).

  • Support Battlefield development processes and studio contributions across all phases of game development by partnering with production, craft, and support leaders to drive scalable, transparent, and efficient operations.

  • Continuously improve planning, communication, and execution by removing roadblocks and increasing organizational clarity.

  • Lead operational planning across Los Angeles, Montreal, and Vancouver to ensure teams have the resources needed to deliver successfully.

Planning & Execution

  • Collaborate with our Franchise Resources Management Office to develop long-range studio plans covering workforce growth, hiring, and capacity requirements.

  • Provide visibility into team capacity, priorities, dependencies, and operational risks.

  • Collaborate with studio and franchise leadership to align plans and manage cross-studio dependencies.

  • Track and act on key operational metrics, including staffing, engagement, capacity, and space utilization.

Financial, Infrastructure & Talent

  • Lead budget management, forecasting, and financial planning in partnership with our Finance Partners and the VP/GM.

  • Oversee workplace and infrastructure planning to support studio growth and collaboration.

  • Maintain operational dashboards and reporting to monitor organizational health and performance.

  • Support engagement, recognition, and leadership development programs that strengthen culture and employee experience.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 10+ years of experience leading complex teams and organisations globally

  • 5+ years of experience operating in distributed or multi-site team structures.

  • 5+ years of working at a senior lead capacity of live game development organization with financial insight and data driven mindset

  • Demonstrated success in senior leadership roles involving delivery ownership and people leadership.

  • Experience working across time zones and cultures in a global organisation.
