That’s why we employ the most creative, passionate people in the industry.

About the Role

We are hiring a Lead Product Manager to define and drive the strategy for critical game development products and platforms at EA.

You will have the chance to work with game teams across the entire organization, including FC, Madden, Battlefield and Battlefront, and central teams such as Frostbite and Origin.

You will own long-term strategy, roadmap direction, and execution across complex, highly technical initiatives. You are expected to understand architecture deeply, challenge engineering decisions constructively, and ensure infrastructure investments translate into measurable improvements in reliability, scalability, and developer productivity.

You must be comfortable reviewing architecture proposals, challenging trade-offs, and working as a peer to senior engineers

  • A strong technical background, either via education or work experience (ideally both).

    • Must be able to effectively speak with technical leaders around EA, as well as engineering team delivering features.

  • Proven ability to lead product roadmaps across multiple products/lines.

    • Ability to define a vision for the product(s) owned that aligns with team and organization goals.

    • Ability to create feature requirements documentation and translate them into user stories for the team to execute on.

    • Ability to assess feature complexity to ensure effective measures are in place to validate quality before deploying, and to be able to safely deploy at a small scale before deploying broadly.

    • Ability to align a product engineering and operations team around the product vision.

  • Data-driven approach

    • Build features that start with the data requirements.

    • Uses data to help prioritize roadmap.

    • Uses data to identify performance issues or bottlenecks.

    • Ability to create dashboards/charts to help self-serve answers to questions that can be obtained from the captured data.

    • Ability to use data in discussions with customers to demonstrate value of features, or areas for improvement.

  • Experience building features/capabilities within a platform/ecosystem.

  • Excellent communication skills, including presenting, document/email writing, presentation building.

    • Able to engage senior technical leads on workflow challenges and translate those discussions into clear product capabilities.

    • Communicate effectively across multiple disciplines (Engineers, Producers, Artists, Managers, etc)

    • Collaborate and build alignment across internal teams.

  • Experience building features that leverage cloud capabilities: self-healing, redundancy, auto-scaling.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a game development company - understands the complexity of game development and the direction of the industry to ensure that product roadmaps are aligned to industry trends.

  • Alternatively, experience working in a fast-paced, start-up environment where they are used to working in smaller, cross-functional teams where they are used to providing high-level direction as well as detailed product and feature requirements.

    • Demonstrated experience delivering innovative features

  • Experience in identifying workflow bottlenecks and providing feature requirements that deliver workflow enhancements, particularly within the SDLC.

  • Financial experience, particularly managing budgets, creating financial plans/models to demonstrate benefits of new or existing features

  • Experience with AI/ML

  • Experience working in a LiveOps/DevOps model
