Join us for an opportunity to work with the best game development teams in the world. We are looking for a Gameplay Software Engineer with a focus on AI to join the Quality Engineering team working to support the new Skate title being developed at Full Circle Studios.


As an AI Gameplay Software Engineer, you will work with quality designers, and gameplay engineers to implement AI technologies that improve the gameplay experience and help us improve the quality of our games. You will report to our Technical Director on the Skate Quality Engineering team.


Hybrid and Remote work options are available across our locations in Canada.


Responsibilities:


  • You will work with quality designers to implement AI behaviors that support their ability to automate core gameplay features.

  • You will collaborate with QV to gather requirements and create a technical plan for how you will develop capabilities QV can use to reduce the manual testing effort.

  • You will guide AI plans, providing technical guidance and lending your expertise to collaborate on solutions.

  • You will optimize AI logic to meet game performance targets.


Qualifications:


  • Experience shipping at least one AAA title with a significant AI contribution.

  • 7+ years' experience in a development role within game development.

  • 5+ years of professional development experience with modern C++.

  • Knowledge of game engine architecture and how AI systems integrate with physics, animation, and gameplay systems.

  • Experience with spatial reasoning and 3D mathematics.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer, Software Engineering, Computer Science Degree or related concentration, equivalent and/or combination of education and work experience.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). BASE SALARY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
    • $133,400 - $193,200 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
