Analytics Director - EA SPORTS™ FC
The Analytics Director will lead the FC Data & Analytics team and will help us scale our data and analytics capabilities and drive strategic initiatives for the FC Studio. Reporting to the Senior Producer of EA FC Live, the Analytics Director will work onsite from the Vancouver office at least three days a week.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement an industry-leading data and live service capabilities strategy that aligns with the overall goals of FC, including talent strategy, tools, and processes
Partner with leadership across the FC organization and ecosystem to inform strategic decision-making and improve how we run we our business, including ML/AI strategy
Provide leadership, mentorship, and hands-on guidance to teams responsible for future initiative business cases, game performance, data pipeline, data science and predictive modeling, and algorithm development
Partner with the game development and product management teams to ensure actionable insights are delivered that improve the player experience and our content and development strategies
Represent the work of the team and communicate priorities and insights with executives and partner teams clearly and succinctly
Qualifications:
As a Director of Analytics, you will have 10 years of work experience and 5 years of managerial experience leading full-stack analytics teams, and in role will:
Set vision and strategy across data, analytics, data engineering, and data science
Manage a team of managers, growing and investing in key talent
Handle multiple workstreams across time horizons
Communicate and present roadmap, priorities, and insights effectively
Use data to inform strategy and decisions, and be able to guide prioritisation
Bring excitement and enthusiasm to the team every day.
Technical skills:
Your technical skills might include experience with:
Working with large volumes of streaming data
Utilizing SQL, including stored procedures and UDFs, with high skill
Developing BI reports using BI tools (PowerBI, Looker, Tableau)
Building cloud infrastructure on Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud
Working with Snowflake as an analytics layer
Using task management tools (Jira, Trello, Monday, Asana)
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
