Analytics Director - EA SPORTS™ FC


The Analytics Director will be part of the FC Data & Analytics team and will help us scale the data and analytics capabilities and drive strategic initiatives for the FC Studio. Reporting to the Senior Development Director, the Analytics Director will work from the Vancouver office either hybrid, or full-time in office.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional team of analysts, data engineers, BI developers and data scientists delivering high-impact analytics initiatives to enhance the player experiences and game performance 

  • Develop and implement an industry-leading game data strategy that aligns with the overall goals of FC, , including talent strategy, tools and capabilities, and processes

  • Partner with the game development and product management teams to provide actionable insights that influence our content and development strategies

  • Support the product team with their experimentation strategies, designing and executing A/B tests to evaluate the impact of new features, content updates, and live service events. Analyze test results and provide actionable recommendations.

  • Suggest growth opportunities and areas of optimization using advanced data techniques and ML/AI

  • Provide Leadership, mentorship and hands on guidance to empower and grow the team

  • Deliver business cases to support ideas and unlock future growth opportunities 

  • Partner with leadership across pillars and the broader FC organization and ecosystem to drive improvements in how we run our business in a more data-informed way

  • Develop predictive models to forecast player behavior, engagement, and monetization trends. Use these models to guide strategic decisions and improve game health 

  • Create compelling data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and other key stakeholders.


Qualifications:


As the Director of Analytics, you will have lead cross-functional analytics teams for a minimum of 10 years and in role will:

  • Use game analytics to optimize game performance and shape studio strategy.

  • Set vision and strategy across data, analytics, and data science.

  • Analyze in-game trends using data insights to influence top-line indicators.

  • Communicate and present ideas effectively.

  • Solve problems with an investigative mindset.

  • Manage multiple projects while thriving in a dynamic environment.

  • Bring excitement and enthusiasm to the team every day.


Technical skills:


Your technical skills include experience with:

  • Leading analysts, data engineers, BI developers, and data scientists

  • Working with large volumes of streaming data

  • Utilizing SQL, including stored procedures and UDFs, with high skill

  • Developing BI reports using BI tools (PowerBI, Looker, Tableau)

  • Building cloud infrastructure on Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud

  • Working with Snowflake as an analytics layer

  • Using task management tools (Jira, Trello, Monday, Asana)

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). BASE SALARY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
    • $151,800 - $208,900 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
