You will have the opportunity to contribute to the creative process of crafting immersive gaming experiences, through creating high-quality appealing performances for characters and implementing your work in engine. 


Role Expectations: 

  • Clean up motion capture data, with an emphasis on stylization, needed for a specific area or feature of the game. 
  • Collaborate with designers and engineers to ensure that your animations meet all needs of the feature. 
  • Work with the Animation Director and Leads to deliver quality animation that meets expectations. 
  • Implement animation into the engine, test and debug issues. 


Your Qualifications: 

  • Production experience animating in Maya and Motion Builder. 
  • Experience both motion capture and hand keying animations. 
  • Comfortable with editing motion capture data's posing, staging and timing in order to produce stylized athletic performances. 
  • Minimum of 3 years professional animation experience. 
  • Strong desire to learn new workflows and software. 
  • Aspirations to take ownership of a specific area of the game or feature. 
  • Good communication and organizational skills. 


Beneficial Qualifications 

  • Love of sports and games, all kinds. 
  • Experience working on diverse animation styles. 
  • Frostbite Experience 
  • Experience with Slack/Jira/Shotgrid 
  • Knowledge of state machines, motion matching, or cinematography

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). BASE SALARY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
    • $73,200 - $101,700 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
