EA Create is a collective of content production teams partnering with EA Studios game teams to bring outstanding visuals, audio and technology to life. The EA Create Animation team provides high-quality body motion performances for in-game, cinematic and narrative sequences.
Responsibilities:
- Create high-quality body animation art assets for use in-game
- Retarget motion capture body data onto character rigs
- Track and clean motion capture data in Vicon Shogun
- Work with development partners on visual target, altering animations where suitable
- Provide animation feedback and communicate best practice with intention for animation refinement
- Conduct and complete character rig reviews to refine it for motion capture retargeting
- Use proprietary animation pipelines and workflow
- Support the onstage capture teams with acquisition of motion capture performances
- Report to the Lead Animator, who will provide guidance on internal workflows
Qualifications:
- 3 years of motion capture or animation in video games, television, film or other related industry
- 3 years of experience with Motion Builder or similar 3D animation software
- Understanding of human movement, and detailed knowledge of functional human anatomy
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
