Associate Director, UX Design - EA SPORTS™ NHL

EA SPORTS NHL, based in vibrant Vancouver, BC, is looking for an innovative UX leader passionate about crafting intuitive, player-first experiences. Reporting directly to the Franchise Art Director, you'll champion UX excellence and drive design strategies across the franchise. We prefer local candidates who can join us in a hybrid work model—balancing creative collaboration with flexibility.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and shape end-to-end UX strategy for EA SPORTS NHL.
- Drive player-centric design through research, behavioral insights, and intuitive UX practices.
- Collaborate closely with game designers, UI artists, engineers, and producers to integrate exceptional UX throughout game development.
- Develop impactful wireframes and interactive prototypes, balancing innovation and technical feasibility.
- Influence stakeholders with compelling visual storytelling and UX methodologies.
- Continuously iterate UX designs based on usability testing and player feedback.
You're the Right Fit If You Have:
- 5+ years UX leadership experience, ideally in gaming or digital products with complex user flows.
- Proficiency in Figma, Axure, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping.
- Exceptional communication skills and a proactive, detail-oriented approach.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating high-impact UX solutions.
- Passion for gaming, sports, and ideally, hockey!
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
