Associate Experience Designer

Description & Requirements

The Associate Experience Designer role is an entry-level position designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to various aspects of User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design within the gaming industry. This role will collaborate with different teams across EA Studios to develop, iterate, and refine user experiences that are visually appealing, intuitive, and aligned with our brand standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration: Work closely with UI/UX designers, artists, developers, and other cross-disciplinary teams to conceptualize, prototype, and implement user interfaces.
  • Design Execution: Create high-quality visual designs and game content for various platforms including consoles, web and mobile ecosystems.
  • Documentation: Maintain implementation requirements and documentation for UI/UX designs ensuring they are easily read and maintained.
  • Research & Testing: Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback on design solutions. Use this data to refine and improve the user experience.
  • Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in UI/UX design, motion graphics, and other relevant technologies.
  • Portfolio Development: Develop a portfolio showcasing unique and original designs that reflect your skills in graphic design, typography, and layout design.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Design, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Some experience (1-2 years) in graphic design, visual design, or similar disciplines.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma.
    • Understanding of UI/UX principles, including user-centered design methodologies and information architecture.
    • Experience with prototyping tools such as Sketch or Adobe XD is a plus.
    • Basic knowledge of motion graphics software like After Effects is a plus.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate within cross-functional teams.
