Join us in Frostbite, EA's multi-platform game development engine, powering industry-leading titles like Battlefield 6 and FC26. Our global team develops engine features and tools, working together to support creators and deliver outstanding games.

You will work hybrid and onsite in Bucharest, Romania, and you will report to the team's Development Director based in Vancouver, Canada.

As an Associate Quality Designer for Frostbite, you'll help uphold the quality of our Characters domain. Responsibilities:

  • Foster relationships with development partners based in Europe. Ensure their evolving needs are met and they are updated with relevant information.
  • Handle incoming tasks and changes in priority and identify and, mitigate risks.
  • Look for opportunities to improve the quality of your team's process and workflows.
  • Investigate problems to identify culprit changes and assist team in fixing it.
  • Perform exploratory tests of new features, regression test bugs, create test plans and test cases.

Required Skills:

  • Understanding of software development processes (Agile and Waterfall)
  • Familiarity with source control, debuggers, and other software development tools (e.g. Perforce, Visual Studio).
  • Familiarity with project planning tools and defect tracking and test case tools (JIRA, Qmetry)
  • 2 or more years of QA software testing and test planning

Bonus:

  • Experience with game engines, content & asset editors, and shared technologies.
  • Experience with testing automation
