This is a Hybrid remote/in-office role based in our London - Stratford office 3 days a week, with travel to other locations expected.

Job Description

We're looking for a passionate communications professional to join the Esports Communications Team. You will report to the Communications and Public Relations Lead, Esports, and will focus on supporting EA's Esports programmes, including Madden Championship Series (MCS), EA FC Pro, and Apex Legends Global Series, enhancing our brand narratives through reactive media management and proactive multi-channel editorial, social and influencer activations.

As part of the E-sports Communications Team, our goals are to increase awareness of EA's Esports programmes, manage reputational risks as they arise, and forge relationships with journalists and content creators.

What You'll Do

  • Draft communications materials for a variety of channels, including blogposts, media alerts, internal reports, and social media posts.

  • Travel to Esports live events where you will manage invited journalists, creators, and other media partners.

  • Monitor industry conversations, public relations and political trends, threats, and opportunities as it relates to our Esports programmes and live events.

  • Partner with teams to identify opportunities that showcase EA's commitment to positive play.

  • Partner with franchise communications teams across Entertainment and SPORTS portfolios to ensure narrative understanding.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.

  • You will have experience managing deadlines and managing time of yours and others.

  • You will have experience with content-creation in all formats.

  • You will have a global perspective and ability to consider different backgrounds and contexts.
