At Electronic Arts, the only limit is your imagination. We are seeking a highly-skilled Concept Artist to join our team. You will have the opportunity to work on beloved IPs. You will help bring our games to life by developing high-quality, inspirational concept art. Your work will support a variety of disciplines and contribute to the artistic vision of our games.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with studio leadership to create detailed concepts of environments, characters, weapons, props, and live service content.

- Attend ideation sessions and brainstorm visuals to accompany narrative content, ensuring alignment across visuals and gameplay.

- Gather reference materials and provide content for style guides, mood boards, and visual targets to communicate with production artists.

- Provide clear and constructive feedback to both internal and external production artists.

- Ensure that produced assets respect the artistic vision and meet quality standards.

- Schedule art and content creation while being detail-oriented and organized to meet project requirements.

- Produce creative designs from initial sketches to final concepts, informed by playing and understanding the game.

Required Qualifications:

- At least 7 years of experience as a concept artist in games, with experience in mobile or AAA titles being a major plus.

- Demonstrated excellence in illustration, visual design, and conceptual thinking skills.

- Strong knowledge of Photoshop and experience with 3D software for pre-viz.

- Ability to give and receive respectful, constructive feedback.

- Experience with Unity and a basic understanding of game engines.

- An artistic eye and understanding of multiple visual media, techniques, composition, perspective, color theory, anatomy, and lighting.

- Passion for games and an understanding of what makes a game visually appealing and fun to play.

- Familiarity with western culture and intermediate knowledge of typography and graphic design.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). BASE SALARY RANGES

  • California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento)
    • $103,200 - $145,600 USD
  • Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs)
    • $111,800 - $151,800 USD
  • Jersey City, NJ
    • $117,300 - $145,600 USD
  • New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo)
    • $92,600 - $145,600 USD
  • Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane)
    • $92,600 - $135,600 USD

In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to temporary full-time employees scheduled to work full time.
