As the Creative Innovations Development Director for Sports Environments Tooling, you'll lead people and delivery for the tools and workflows that power EA SPORTS FC, College Football, Madden NFL, NHL, and UFC. You will report to a Development Director II.

This role is hybrid remote/in-office, and you will work from our Vancouver/Burnaby office.

Day to Day you will manage…

Product & Creative Partnership

  • Partner with your pod's Product Manager and Technical Art Director to co‑own sports environments tooling across the lifecycle - discovery, UI/UX, delivery, rollout, and sustainment.

Release & Delivery

  • Lead Sports Environments tool releases - calendar, ship‑readiness criteria, and integration windows across FC, CF, Madden, NHL, and UFC.

  • Run Scrum for your pod, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.

Plan & Resourcing

  • Lead capacity planning: model demand vs. supply, surface trade‑offs, and recommend resourcing decisions.

  • Draft and manage SOWs for partners; track deliverables, acceptance, and timeline.

  • Executive comms: build updates and presentations on scope, timelines, risks, variances, and impact for senior leadership.

  • Find and address team and project risks, focusing on removing blockers for the team.

People Leadership & Development

  • Manage team members: set clear goals, run 1:1s, provide ongoing feedback, and support career growth, performance management, and succession planning; partner with Recruiting on hiring and onboarding.

You will bring...

  • 5+ years of project management delivering software tools or platforms or equivalent experience.

  • People management experience (coaching, performance management).

  • Release management experience serving multiple teams/products.

  • Hands‑on expertise with JIRA and PM tools; set up boards, workflows, and reporting.

  • End‑to‑end scrum execution in Agile environments; comfortable coaching teams on ceremonies and flow.

  • Capacity planning, risk, and dependency management skills.

  • Experience creating SOWs and partner engagements.

  • Bias toward documentation and knowledge sharing

  • Experience cultivating team culture

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$119,600 - $167,300 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
