Skate - Development Manager


The Studio

EA Create is a collective of content production teams partnering with EA Studios game teams to provide outstanding visuals, audio and technology. Our teams consist of artists, engineers, technicians, designers and development directors. The Game

As an Development Manager in Create Audio you will work on the next evolution of the skate.™ franchise. We are set to deliver a rich, vibrant, and fun sonic experience that embraces and builds upon everything that makes this franchise so special. The Role

The role of DM is dynamic and multi-faceted, requiring strong collaboration skills, great customer service, a solid ability to manage tasks, balance multiple priorities and deadlines, and excel while working with many internal partners. You will report to the Department Director and support the Audio Director and the project team in managing day-to-day operations.

What We Are Looking For


  • Drive sprint planning, assist the Audio Director and team in prioritizing and scheduling upcoming work.
  • Be a bridge of communication between project stakeholders and the Audio team, ensuring the work prioritized by the team aligns with project goals, and ensuring information flows between leadership, development teams, and the Audio team.
  • Keep the backlog organized, ensure all work is tracked and estimated, and help manage tasks and bugs daily.
  • Own the scope/capacity plan, incorporate change requests and work to keep scope and capacity balanced. Work with the Audio Director to identify any resource gaps and escalate needs.
  • Track risks, work to mitigate risks and escalate as necessary
  • Help identify opportunities to improve processes and gain efficiency, propose solutions and work in collaboration with stakeholders to implement solutions.
  • Be customer service oriented.
  • Resolve issues through creative problem-solving skills
  • Champion adherence to Create Audio operational protocols



What You Bring

  • 3 or more years Project Management or Project Coordination experience
  • Experience collaborating across multiple levels of an organization, especially in a distributed team from different studios and time zones
  • Proficiency in project management tools, such as JIRA
  • Adaptable and eager to learn, able to retain a high level of detail, juggle multiple demands, manage your time and priorities, and the team’s, efficiently.
  • Positive team-based attitude


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). PAY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
    • $96,400 - $133,900 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and after 3 months of service - extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
