EA Create is looking for an Development Manager with experience in animation project management to join our team in assisting on a new title.  EA Create is known to partner with AAA studios such as BioWare, Respawn, and Maxis, and assist on the critically acclaimed Madden and FIFA franchises.  This is your opportunity to be part of a collaborative group with team members all over the world and have your work shown to millions of viewers, players, peers, and industry professionals. 


You would report to a director within the Animation team and work with multiple teams.  You know how to roadmap tasks toward milestones, be a calm supportive advocate for your team, and track metrics. It's essential to learn new pipeline flows and understand how tasks and disciplines are dependent upon each other.


This is a temporary position. 


Role Requirements:

  • Experience using Shotgrid and Jira for task tracking and metric gathering
  •  5 years professional game development experience
  • Understand art and animation language
  • Reliable internet service to work remotely

Role Expectations:

  • Develop project structure standards within Shotgrid
  • Track team progress within existing Jira environment
  • Monitor assignments, notes, iterations, schedules, and metrics
  • Provide multiple reports to different partners
  • Ensure all artists are informed of updates
  • Collaborate with Animation Director to create staff assignments and deadlines while keeping the big picture in mind
  • Present updates and progress during partner meetings
  • Forecast and communicate potential roadblocks
  • Prompt attendance at all meetings and reviews.
  • Organise your work and notes to be easily understood by team members.
  • Collaboration with directors, animators, production and technical staff.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) * $96,400 - $133,900 CAD

 In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
