Description & Requirements
The Environment Artist will report to the Head of Visual Art. The work is not associated with an active game title, but is part of central and common technologies that are being investigated. This is a hybrid role based in Redwood Shores.
Responsibilities:
You will focus on evaluating internal and external AI, Procedural and Parametric tools and workflows.
Your main focus is on validating whether tools/workflows can meet a quality and/or efficiency metric.
You will capture results and insights gained from using the tools in detailed reports.
Qualifications:
1+ year of experience using of Maya, Max, or similar 3D modeling software.
1+ years of experience with photogrammetry, ZBrush and Substance Designer is a plus.
Examples of high fidelity modeled assets, painted using 3D paint software, e.g., Substance Painter.
You have some experience working with content-driven game engines (e.g. Unreal, Unity).
Demonstrated asset creation abilities (hard surface, architecture and/or organic assets).
Experience collaborating with designers, engineers, and tech artists to evolve workflows and pipelines.

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to temporary full-time employees scheduled to work 40 hours a week.
