    Experience Designer, Visual Craft & UI at EA SPORTS FC

    After nearly 30 years of creating genre-defining, interactive football experiences with the world's largest football entertainment platform, EA SPORTS FIFA, we rebranded to EA SPORTS FC. This marks the future of football from EA SPORTS as we strive to take global football experiences to new heights on behalf of football fans everywhere.

    WHAT WE DO?

    Experience design strives to innovate and create new, authentic experiences that bring joy, inclusivity, and immersion to a global community of fans. 

    WHAT WILL YOU DO?

    You will use your creativity, passion and knowledge of experience design, branding, and modern UI/UX practices to develop leading edge experiences for highly engaged Football Club fans. This 12 month contract will have you opportunity to help create and define a new content creation tool for the Football Club platform.

    YOUR ROLE:

    • Evaluate, craft, and iterate end-to-end experiences establishing thoughtful design solutions that are intuitive, scalable, and accessible.(e.g. layouts, information organization, typography, color theory).

    • Solid understanding of interaction design patterns and pattern systems for a product or a feature

    • Create and refine prototypes of various fidelity (rapid, mid-fidelity, high-fidelity) to communicate intent and evaluate effectiveness.

    • Expert knowledge of design systems and how they are applied in a product

    • Organizing and briefing teammates, partners, etc., on concepts and tasks

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate, rationalize, and empathize with user needs effectively.

    WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR:

    • 3+ years of experience as a UI designer, interaction designer, product designer or similar role. 

    • Proficient in Figma, Adobe Suite, and prototyping software.

    • Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centric, data-driven, visually appealing, and functional designs.

    • Attention to detail and ability to create solutions in 2D.

    • Skilled in creating complex prototypes for player experience.

    • Proactive, outcome-oriented, and solution-driven.

    • Expert level understanding of visual psychology, organizing principles, layouts, composition, typography, color theory, and accessibility.

    • You are comfortable presenting and rationalizing design strategy and decisions to diverse audiences, using these opportunities to educate and promote.

    • Empathetic and collaborative team player.

    • You understand the importance of providing and soliciting feedback in a graceful, constructive manner, with suggestions and solutions for improvement to both the process and the project.

    • You have strong written and verbal communication.

    • Passion for playing games.

    NICE TO HAVE

    • Experience with designing experiences for environmental content creation. 

    • Knowledge of Football.

    COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). PAY RANGES

    • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
      • $89,300 - $123,000 CAD

    In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and after 3 months of service - extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
