You will work with central Quality Engineering teams and other Game teams to create tools and technical strategies to improve gameplay automation. You will develop an in-depth understanding of product designs, use EA proprietary tools to create unique automated tests for 3D world exploration and gameplay, form test strategies for implementation of technologies, and will think laterally to identify requirements, roadblocks, or efficiencies that your partners may not consider. You will report to the game team technical leadership.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop automation frameworks, tools, engine components and processes for multiplayer sports gameplay.
  • You will work with all disciplines to gather requirements, collaborate on solutions, and implement.
  • Create clear documentation to support workflow processes.
  • Design, author, test, and deploy automated tests to cover all test scenarios.
  • Interpret requests from your creative and engineering partners


Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.
  • 6+ years experience in software development with a C++ focus.
  • Experience shipping at least one AAA title with a significant automation contribution.
  • Experience with Unreal, Unity or other advanced proprietary game engines.
  • Experience developing in and debugging multi-threaded/concurrent architectures.
  • Experience working with Microsoft, Sony, or Nintendo game consoles.


Bonus:

  • Experience with mobile development (iOS and Android).
  • Experience with AI and machine learning.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). BASE SALARY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
    • $115,100 - $161,200 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
