Presentation Content Designer

Role:
As a Presentation Content Designer you will design and implement presentation-based content for EA Sports FC, partnering with game designers, programmers and artists to develop those sequences in the game using in-house tools and the Frostbite engine. This role is Hybrid based at our Vancouver, BC offices
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Design team to prototype and implement various aspects of interactive gameplay.
Work with in-house tools to create content including
Conversations and dialogue flow.
Interactive cutscenes.
Triggers for cinematics, cutscene and audio.
Camera control and view composition
UI flow and layout
Follow directions and reference material provided by producers, art directors, and game designers, and create the vision through your use of our presentation tools.
Collaborate with multiple teams (artists, rendering, animators, gameplay, audio, interface) to identify and define requirements for implementing Presentation features.
Gather references, storyboard, design, and present ideas back to the team, following and contributing to the design vision for the project.
Report to technical directors and project managers.
Qualifications:
Understanding of cinematic scenes: actors, cameras, dialogue, audio
Experience with in-game cinematic systems (camera control, timing, triggers etc).
Understand narrative causality and logic.
Experience with UI flow and layout
2+ years of experience with both design and implementation of game content using game editing tools.
Understanding of logic, if-else conditionals, typical in-game events, and properties.
Knowledge of the game development process from concept to final product release.
It's a bonus if you have experience with industry software, such as game engines and 3D software.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
