One of EA’s top priorities is to make it easy to use and scale live services operations. EADP is an important contributor to that strategy, and you will play a central part as the product lead for Arrival. Arrival is a proprietary content delivery tool that enables live services operators to manage and deploy game content safely. In its end state, the product will be  a cohesive suite of services, pre-integrated with EADP products, for content delivery and player lifecycle management that is easy to use by creatives and works end-to-end, empowering live services teams across EA.

As Principal Product Manager for Arrival, you will report into the Vice President of Product Management, leading innovation and influencing EADP's product teams and EA's game development teams to develop a world-class live services toolkit. You will shape and implement platform capabilities that make it easier for game engineers to onboard and customize tooling within Arrival’s tooling framework. You will also define and deliver streamlined workflows for game producers to scale live operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Define a compelling live services toolkit strategy to improve the developer experience on our Platform. To do this, you must understand diverse customer needs and internal product/service provider requirements, and balance both from a live services platform owner’s perspective. 
  • Represent the live services toolkit owner’s perspective to influence EADP’s product teams to make products easy to use by creating streamlined workflows across products, driving deprecation methodology, and other platform best practices. 
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to shape the technical architecture and design decisions, ensuring the creation of scalable platform capabilities, and fundamentals. 
  • Set clear objectives and key results (OKRs) to align stakeholders across the organization, promoting unity towards shared goals. 
  • Collaborate across teams, providing clarity and ensuring effective decision-making. 
  • Use metrics and user feedback to guide ongoing innovation and refinement of live services toolkit offerings

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years experience in product management / program management/ software development (of which at least 3+ years are required in product management). 
  • At least 2+ years working with game developer or game producer-facing products in a product role. Demonstrated results driving innovation in game development technologies.
  • Experience defining product and functional specifications to create customer value and impact while understanding the technical aspects. 
  • Experience designing and implementing game mechanics and monetization strategies (e.g. core loops, battle passes) through direct experience in a game developer role or as a game producer/engineer
  • Demonstrated results delivering large-scale enterprise solutions/services, including roadmap development, product launches, and driving innovation. 
  • Platform mindset, with an understanding of microservices architecture, REST and gRPC APIs, cloud technologies and developer platforms. 
  • Experience leading geo-distributed teams, partners, and cross-team leadership teams.


Compensation and Benefits

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the range and benefits for your specific location.

EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

Base Salary Ranges

    • British Columbia (depending on location, e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):

      º $160,200 - $229,100 CAN Annually

    • California (depending on location, e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):

      º $185,300 - $278,800 USD Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to temporary full-time employees scheduled to work full time.  In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits, including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.

Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). BASE SALARY RANGES

  • California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento)
    • $185,300 - $278,800 USD

In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
