Product Manager, Business Operations - EA SPORTS FC™ Mobile

Responsibilities:

The Business Operations team on FC Mobile supports the international teams that support the game's success & ensures that all teams are aligned towards business and product goals. The Product Manager for the Business Operations will report directly to the Business Operations lead & will collaborate with central organizations such as Business Management, Platform Marketing, Integrated Communications & Commercial Teams to support their operations as a representative of the FCM Development Team based in Shanghai. This role is currently local remote based in Vancouver with the expectation of returning to office within the next 6 months.


As a Product Manager you will drive business performance goals by providing actionable insights that can improve marketing & growth performance on FC Mobile. This role is highly collaborative, and involves communicating with interdisciplinary teams across the globe including North & South America, Europe, China, South East Asia & Australia. You will provide analytical insights on qualitative and quantitative data to inform growth initiatives & business decisions for cross-functional teams including Marketing, UA, ASO, Ad Monetization. You will also help inform the Development Team & the wider product leadership team on our strategic priorities & provide the evidence that supports them.

We're looking for someone with experience growing mobile games and a love of Football/Soccer. You should have product management or data analysis experience on a popular live service free to play mobile game, knowledge of mobile marketing campaigns, app store optimization strategies, ads monetization & ideally, success competing in the mobile market.


As a product manager for the business operations team you will:

  • Help build the Install forecasting pipeline with growth focused teams.

  • Lead top of funnel growth strategy discussions with various leaders, providing context & clarity behind decisions.

  • Translate business goals into product strategies; collaborate with leadership to develop and prioritize plans, and oversee execution.

  • Monitor how FC Mobile is performing against our goals and peers, promptly identify new trends or anomalies, and determine responsive actions.

  • Partner with our Data Science team to prioritize quantitative analyses that deliver actionable insights.

  • Collaborate with the live operations/feature dev teams to provide App Store & other marketing related insights that can inform product decisions.

  • Drive market research, survey analyses, identify industry best practices for optimization, and implement new features.

  • Use tools such as Sensor Tower, App Tweak. Looker and App/Google Play Store Dashboards to evaluate the market, prepare forecasts & provide insights on our to achieve increased organic growth.

  • Partner with our teams to create value propositions for new tools, features and optimizations that can support external teams.

  • Be a POC and strategist for global support teams focused on UA, ASO, Ad Monetization, Integrated Comms & FC Brand Marketing.

  • Develop successful partnerships with global/regional teams in multiple time zones - including Shanghai, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia & India

  • Dissect and analyze total addressable markets, app store optimization strategies and addressing our organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a product management, marketing analysis, or strategy development for free to play mobile games or a freemium app.

  • Experience achieving success on a global free to play game or app.

  • Experience driving strategic priorities across international teams.

  • Demonstrated motivate a remote team to accomplish shared objectives with data-driven decision-making.

  • Proficiency in one or more analytics tools such as Tableau, Looker, SQL, or similar.

  • Experience presenting product & marketing data in English & addressing live feedback.


Preferences:

  • Experience with the business side of mobile games, beyond game development

  • Love for global football & desire to work on a product that celebrates the world's game on mobile

  • Experience working with interdisciplinary experts, incorporating diverse perspectives and feedback.

  • BA/BS in a quantitative or technical field (math, economics, data science, engineering, or finance), or an MBA.

  • Desire to provide a safe, and inclusive environment for all team members

  • Speaking more than one language is an asset, please share any other languages you can speak or translate at a professional level.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$119,600 - $167,300 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
